Conducted Authority: From 2019, the National Testing Agency will conduct JEE Main 2019 registration process through online mode.

Registration Dates: JEE Main registration for January session will start from 1st September 2018 and registration for April session will start from 2nd week of February 2019.

Aadhaar Card Mandatory: While applying for JEE Main, candidates have to fill their Aadhaar Card Number, Name, Date of Birth & Gender matching with the UIDAI data for successful registration. The candidate from J&K, Assam & Meghalaya state can apply through valid passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other Govt. identity number.

Step to apply for JEE Main 2019 Exam

Following we have given important steps for JEE Main 2019 online registration:

Step 1 – The National Test Agency will conduct registration process only through online mode. The candidate needs to visit the official website of NTA or JEE Main to start the registration process.

Step 2 – At official website, the candidate will find “Apply for JEE Main 2019” button/ link. Click the link and proceed to apply for JEE Main 2019 Exam.

Step 3 – Fill all the mandatory fields highlighted with red start mark. The candidate needs to fill their personal, academic, parent’s information in the application form. Click “Submit” button if the application is filled and note down application number.

Step 4 – After submitting the filled application form, the candidate will receive application no. to their mobile and email id. The candidates are requested to verify their mobile no. and email id.

Step 5 – As the application form is filled, now its time to upload required documents such as scanned photograph, signature & parents/guardian images in a given format. Photograph dimension should be 3.5 x 4.5 cm and dimension of the signature should be 3.5 x 1.5 cm.

Step 6 – Cross check all the details in the application form to avoid errors. If all the details are correct, Pay the application fee through online or offline mode. Forgot JEE Main Application Login?

Retrieving Application Number: Click on “I Can’t access my account”, then fill up the fields, Name, DOB, Fathers name, mothers name to retrieve the application number.

1st September 2018 – National Testing Agency (NTA) has released JEE Main 2019 Application Form at jeemain.nic.in and not nta.ac.in.

23rd August 2018 – JEE Main 2019 Registration begins 1 Sept 2018, Exam in Jan/Apr ’19.

20th August 2018 – It is officially announced that JEE Main Exam from 2019 onwards will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and in online mode only.

JEE Main 2019 Application Form Correction

The correction process of JEE Main 2019 will be as follows. The following points show the correction process of JEE Main 2018 Application Form.

  1. You will be allowed to make the JEE Main 2019 correction in uploaded images only (Signature & Photograph).
  2. The correction process will be commenced in December/ January month of 2019.
  3. In the correction window, you will be able to make changes in exam mode from PBT to CBT, the city of the examination, change of paper from Paper 1 to Paper 2.
  4. You must notice that you are allowed to make changes in selected fields only.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria details of JEE Main 2019 will be as follows. According to the official authority, the following will be the eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2019. Take a look at the following to know more.

  1. You must have qualified in 12th/ 10+2/ HSE/ HSC/ HSSLC/ Intermediate/ PUC/ Pre Degree/ Plus Two or any other equivalent examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology as main subjects.
  2. Your maximum number of previous attempts in JEE Main will be limited to 3.

Age Criteria

The eligibility for JEE Main 2019 on the age basis will be as follows.

Date of Birth If you are an applicant who born on or after of 1st October of 1994, then you will be eligible to apply in for JEE Main 2019.
Relaxation There will be a 5-year relaxation will be given an upper age limit relaxation for SC/ ST/ PWD aspirants. So their DOB falls on or after of 1st October of 1989. The date of birth will be determined on the basis of secondary education certificate (10th Standard).

Qualification Exam

The eligibility for JEE Main 2019 on the qualification basis will be as follows.

Qualifying Examination You must have qualified in 12th or any equivalent examination with 5 subjects from any board.
Subjects You must have had qualified in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in qualifying examination.
Minimum Marks There will be no minimum marks mentioned for qualifying examination. You just need to pass the qualifying test.
Passing Year If you are an applicant who has appeared and passed the qualifying examination in 2017/ 2018, then you will be eligible to apply. All the aspirants who are appearing for the final examination of qualifying certificate (12th) in 2019 are also eligible to fill the JEE Main 2019 Application Form. If you are an applicant who has appeared in qualifying examination in 2015 but not passed in the same year and passed in 2016, then you are not eligible.
Diploma Holders If you are a Diploma holder, then you can apply for JEE Main 2019. But you will be eligible for admission into IITs only.

If you want to get admission into IITs/ NITs/ CFTIs, then you must obtain 75% marks in the 12th examination/ must be in top 20% in the 12th Examination of the respective boards. For the SC/ ST candidates, the qualifying marks will be 65%.
